About Dave
Born in Australia, I grew up in the Central Coast New South Wales, where my childhood was spent hanging out with mates, surfing and getting in trouble.
My influences in music came from my older brothers because I never had a choice in what I could listen to and i started playing guitar at the age of 13 when my brothers friends had formed a band. I remember sneaking out the back of the house and finding out where the party was and hiding in the back yard to watch the band known as The Y Fronts, who mainly played covers.
The guitarist in the band was Dave Lesley who went on to play for The Baby Animals, Jimmy Barnes etc. He loved Jimmy Hendrix and became my first guitar teacher and that's how it all started.
Like everything playing music doesn't pay the bills so it took a second place for a good few years, until recently and now I'm about to release my first EP 'Girl on the Moon' with the help of my close friend Mick Hart who has always been a musical inspiration to me and many others.
